Overheard

I had 6th grade classes in the library today doing a "scavenger hunt"--practicing their book finding skills and getting more familiar with the library. One of the call numbers they had to find was "F TOL." Two boys were discussing which title to write down when I heard one of those classic lines only middle school students can say:

"Boy, the Junior Tolkien guy wrote a lot of books."

Well, J.R.R. Tolkien was born in *South* Africa. . .
